About UsMISSION: Our goal at First School is to help each child reach their full potential. Activities and instructional materials are scientifically designed to provide a variety of learning experiences which promote the development of social skills, emotional growth, and physical coordination as well as cognitive preparation. The holistic curriculum, under the direction of ‘well-trained certified early childhood teachers, allows the child to experience the joy of learning through hands-on activities. It also ensures the development of self-esteem and provides the experiences from which children create their knowledge.

Executive Director: Jane Stubblefield
Jane grew up in Carthage, Il. and has one sibling. Jane’s father was a farmer, and her mother was an educational teacher.
Jane graduated from the University of Illinois with a Bachelor of Science Degree and Minored in Child Development. There is where she met her husband, Dennis. Jane and Dennis raised three children. Jane assisted Dennis in managing their jointly owned veterinary practice.
More About Jane
Jane expanded her knowledge of child development by substitute teaching, teaching Sunday school, participating in 4H, and Cub Scouts as a leader, serving on the Champaign Youth Council, and serving on her church’s childcare Board of Directors. Jane has worked as a Director-Teacher at two childcare centers. Jane was identified as one of the most successful at one of the centers. Jane accomplished being one of the 3.5% of all directors of a national for-profit childcare company is a significant recognition of her abilities as a director. It is also significant that during this time when Jane was a director, she also served as a secretary of the East Central National Association for the Education of Young Children.

All teachers are trained and CPR/First Aid Certified. • Teacher have either a bachelor degree, Associates degree, or a Child Development Associate.

I’ve been in early education since 1997. I have my Child Development associate certification. I’m a Montessori certified teacher. I have a daughter, son in law, and granddaughter. My husband and I have been married 47 years. I enjoy watching NASCAR Racing, and Hallmark movies.
Daisy Conejo De Patricio

Hello my name is Daisy Conejo De Patricio I’m a Director here at first school. I’ve been working with children from Infants up to Schoolage for Seven years. I got my Early Childhood Education in applied science since December 2021. I just got married in July 2023 and we are hoping to grow our little family with a puppy. I am bilingual Spanish and English, I am mexican american.

Hello my name is Jessica Bensyl I’m an assistant Director at First school. I’ve been working with children since 2014. I received a Early Education Degree in May of 2019. I have 3 children of my own 1 in college 2 in high school. In our spare time my family enjoys attending sporting events or watching games.
